    Description

    This listing is for a
fantastic looking 4 ft wide antique church pew like the one pictured; I have two of them and you may even interested in having a matched pair.  The pews
wereused in the sanctuary of the St Johns United Methodist Church in the Queens district of New York City. The church was established in 1906 as a Lutheran Church in a neighborhood where many of the large German immigrant population who lived in the area could meet for worship.   After a number of years, the building was sold to the Methodist denomination. The church was closed down and the building was sold to a developer and is is scheduled for demolition. As mentioned, the pew is made of quarter sawn oak. The end panels are 38 1/2" high and the pew will extend out from the wall 24". The seat depth is 15" and is the seat height is 17" from the floor. The pew is very sturdy and can be placed anywhere in a room without fear of tipping over when in use.  It is offered at a BIN price but I am willing to consider a reasonable offer.
I also have a 6' similar pew that I am offering at the same price.
I will give the buyer a picture of the church where the pews were used that provides provenance for the pews. You could frame it and hang it on the wall near where the pew is placed.
I can arrange shipping to any location within the US and offer several possible options for shipping, including blanket shipping and freight trucking. I will be happy to get a shipping quote to your location is you send send me your complete address (city, state, and zip). Payment  is expected within 24 hours of purchase. It you are interested in more than one pew this size, I can accommodate you. Just contact me with your need and I will let you know how quickly I can meed your requirement.
