This driver uses a 4-layer voice coil with venting under the dust cap and spider for increased power handling and lower compression. With a rubber surround and progressive spider, the cone will stay linear under extreme excursion. The sculpted stamped steel frame increases rigidity and cosmetics. Designed as a subwoofer, this driver has smooth response up to 2,500 Hz, making it suitable for use in 2-way systems as well.
