    Description

    This is a Beautiful and rare Red Granite Millstone from Mitchell’s Mill in North East Ohio. I am selling this for a friend that her father had purchased in around 1920 from the Miller at Mitchell’s Mill after the mill had burned to the ground. There were two stones that he purchased, one had split in two pieces and are currently being used as a step at my friends house. This was used by her pond were the bronze frog that is in my other eBay auction. There is still some of the original roof pitch that melted on to the stone in the fire. Was told this stone was shipped from a stone quarry in Vermont. The stone measures 52” across and 12” thick and weight is unknown but I believe to be about 2,000 lbs. Please ask any questions before you buy. I will load on to your trailer or truck as I offer no shipping. If you are using a freight company arrangements must be made by you the buyer. Any crating of this and insurance is to be payed by the buyer.
